The Structural Biology Core Laboratory at UT Health San Antonio, directed by Shaun Olsen with Elizabeth Wasmuth as cryo-EM co-director, combines X-ray crystallography, NMR and a cryo-EM facility opened in 2022. The cryo-EM facility runs a 200 kV Glacios with a Falcon 4 detector and Selectris energy filter, a Vitrobot and a Leica plunge freezer, backed by a 36-GPU computing cluster with 1.5 PB of storage. Grid preparation, screening and data collection are booked through iLab.
Services are requested through a publicly visible UT System iLab listing (show_external) with most cryo-EM prices marked 'Inquire'; no page states an explicit external-user policy.
