The Cryo-Electron Microscopy Core Facility sits in the McGovern Medical School Building (MSB G.601) at UTHealth Houston and is run within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology's Structural Biology Imaging Center. It operates a 300 kV Titan Krios G3 with a Gatan BioQuantum filter, K2 Summit detector and Volta phase plates, and a 200 kV Glacios with a Selectris filter and Falcon 4i detector, plus Vitrobot Mark IV and Leica plungers. Staffed hours are Monday to Friday 9 to 5, with 24/7 access for trained users.
The Structural Biology Imaging Center page says the equipment is available to the greater Houston and worldwide research community on a per-fee or collaborative basis; requests go through the UTHealth iLab core listing.
