The Pittsburgh Center for CryoEM is run by the Department of Structural Biology in the basement of Biomedical Science Tower 3. It operates a Titan Krios G3i with Selectris energy filter, Volta phase plate and Falcon 4i, a Tecnai TF20 with TVIPS XF416 camera for screening, a Tecnai T12 for negative stain, and an Aquilos 2 cryo-FIB, with a Vitrobot Mark IV for plunge freezing. Access is offered in Independent, Assisted and Full service tiers with separate academic and external pricing.
External academic users pay a published external rate (Krios $2,400/day, TF20 $250/hour); commercial users contact the Director for pricing.
