The Beckman Center for Cryo-Electron Microscopy is part of the Perelman School of Medicine's Electron Microscopy Resource Laboratory and is housed in room G011 of the Singh Center for Nanotechnology, with cryo-ET sample preparation space in the Anatomy Chemistry Building. It operates a 300 keV Titan Krios G3i with K3, BioQuantum filter and Volta phase plate, and a 200 keV Glacios 2 with Falcon 4i and Selectris X. The associated Beckman Center for Cryo-Electron Tomography adds a Zeiss Crossbeam 550 cryo-FIB-SEM with Delmic Meteor, a Zeiss LSM 900 cryo-confocal, Alveole micropatterning, and Vitrobot Mark IV and Leica EM GP plungers.
Open to Penn, external academic and corporate users in the greater Philadelphia area; booking and billing through the Penn iLab site with separate internal, academic-external and corporate rates.
