Electron Microscopy Shared Resource (EMSR)

The Electron Microscopy Shared Resource at Fred Hutch, directed by Theo Humphreys, provides negative-stain and cryo-EM grid preparation, screening, data collection and processing, plus conventional TEM and SEM sample processing. It operates a 200 kV Glacios with an X-FEG and Gatan K3 detector, a 120 kV Talos L120C with a Ceta-M camera and Elsa cryo holder, a JEOL JSM-6610LV SEM, a Vitrobot Mark IV and a Leica EM ICE high-pressure freezer. Users can also reach the UW Beckman Center Titan Krios and PNCC for higher-end data collection.

The main page states equipment, training and services are available to both internal and external users; instruments are booked through Fred Hutch's iLab portal and users can be trained to independence.
