The CSB Cryo-Electron Microscopy Facility is run by Vanderbilt's Center for Structural Biology, with microscopes in the Engineering and Science Building and a sample preparation room in Medical Center North. It operates a 300 kV Titan Krios G4 with Gatan K3 BioQuantum, Falcon 3 and Volta phase plate (operational April 2021), a 200 kV Glacios with Falcon 4i for screening, SPA, tomography and MicroED, and a Talos L120C with Ceta-S camera for negative stain. Sample preparation uses Vitrobot Mark II and Mark IV plungers and a Leica EM GP2, and data are processed on GPU workstations with 600 TB of local storage.
