Pacific Northwest Center for Cryo-EM (PNCC)

PNCC is an NIH Common Fund national cryo-EM center operated jointly by Oregon Health & Science University and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in OHSU's Robertson Life Sciences Building in Portland. It runs four 300 kV Titan Krios (Krios-1 to Krios-4) with Falcon 4i and BioContinuum K3 detectors, Selectris X filters and a cold FEG on Krios-2, plus a Talos Arctica and a Glacios 2. Sample preparation includes a Vitrobot, Leica EM GP2, VitroJet, Tergeo plasma cleaner and a Refeyn 2MP mass photometer, with time awarded by peer-reviewed proposal.

✅Accepts External Users

Any researcher may submit a peer-reviewed proposal through the PNCC portal (deadline first day of each month); General Access awards 24-120 hours of microscope time and Screening Access is prioritized to groups without local cryo-EM; published overviews describe access as free of charge.
