The Simons Electron Microscopy Center at NYSBC (89 Convent Ave, New York) runs three access programs: the Members Electron Microscopy Center for member institutions, and the NIH national centers NCCAT (single-particle access and training) and NCITU (in situ tomography). MEMC lists three named Titan Krios (Jim, Marilyn, Audrey), a Glacios and a Hitachi HT7800; NCCAT lists six Titan Krios (including one cold-FEG G4-class instrument), two Glacios and a Hitachi 7800; NCITU adds an Aquilos 2 cryo-FIB-SEM and Zeiss LSM 900 cryo-CLEM. Sample preparation includes Vitrobot Mark IV, Leica EM GP and GP2, SPT Labtech chameleon and Refeyn mass photometry.
Member institutions use the Members Electron Microscopy Center (MEMC); any researcher nationwide can apply for free peer-reviewed time at NCCAT (GUP1/GUP2, BAG, RAP, TP1/TP2) via nccat.nysbc.org/proposalcentral/, and for cryo-ET at NCITU through the joint tomography portal.
