SECM4 is an NIH R24 GM145964 funded service center co-located with the Biological Sciences Imaging Resource at Florida State University. It provides cryo-EM specimen preparation, grid screening, high-resolution data collection, and training to biomolecular researchers primarily in the Southeast. Instruments are a 300 kV Titan Krios with a Direct Electron Apollo camera, Gatan BioQuantum K3, and Volta phase plate, a Hitachi HT7800 120 kV screening TEM, a Vitrobot, a Leica EM GP2, and an SPT Labtech chameleon.
Researchers, primarily in the Southeast, submit a project application through the Apply page; applications are peer reviewed on plausibility of the proposed cryo-EM experiments and applicants agree to review others' proposals.
