The Eyring Materials Center (formerly the LeRoy Eyring Center for Solid State Science) is ASU's materials characterization core in Tempe. Its life science electron microscopy operation runs a 300 kV FEI Titan Krios installed in 2017, fitted with a Falcon 4i detector, Selectris X energy filter, Ceta D camera and Volta phase plates, alongside a bio EM sample preparation suite with a Leica ICE high pressure freezer, Vitrobot, freeze substitution and cryo ultramicrotomy. The center is open to academic and industry users on a posted rate schedule.
