About This Position

The Vecchio Lab in the Department of Structural Biology at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to study the structural and functional biology of human membrane proteins involved in tight junctions. The role involves developing cryo-EM methods, optimizing sample vitrification, processing data, running an independent research project, and training lab personnel in protein expression and purification. A completed Ph.D. in structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field is required; 2+ years of cryo-EM sample preparation, data processing, and structure determination experience, plus teaching/training experience, is preferred.
