Lead Scientist - Directing Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Tomography Center

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Lead Scientist to direct its Cryo-EM/Cryo-ET Center. The role provides scientific and operational leadership for the center in collaboration with center leadership and faculty users, supervising 3-4 staff scientists supporting microscopy workflows, managing instrument operations and scheduling, and developing user training programs. The Lead Scientist collaborates with investigators on imaging strategy design, participates in methodology optimization and high-throughput workflow development, maintains SOPs and quality controls, and coordinates vendor relations and instrument maintenance. Preferred qualifications include a PhD in structural biology, cell biology, biophysics, or a related field; hands-on cryo-EM/cryo-ET experience; expertise operating 200-300 kV TEM systems; experience with cryo-FIB milling and advanced sample preparation; familiarity with RELION, CryoSPARC, Warp, or similar image-processing software; and leadership/mentoring experience.
