CryoEM Staff Scientist

The CryoEM Shared Resource at Janelia Research Campus (HHMI) seeks a Staff Scientist to operate and maintain cryoEM equipment serving the HHMI research community, including Titan Krios microscopes, Aquilos2, and Hydra cryo-FIBSEM systems. The role combines hands-on microscope operation with collaborative research support: collecting and managing high-throughput data, leading cryoEM components of collaboration projects from planning through results review, developing new sample preparation and data collection protocols, and training users and staff on cryoEM methods. Requires a PhD in a related field, Linux/bash/basic Python proficiency, and strong hardware troubleshooting and communication skills; hands-on cryoEM experience and 4D STEM background preferred.
