About This Position

UC San Diego's School of Biological Sciences (Departments of Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, and Neurobiology) is hiring a tenure-track faculty member at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in Transformational Biological Technologies, capitalizing on institutional investment in cryo-electron microscopy and the Goeddel Family Technology Sandbox. Candidates using cryo-EM, cryo-ET, mass spectrometry, light microscopy, and/or other cutting-edge technologies to advance mechanistic understanding of molecular, cellular, developmental, or neuronal biology are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include building an externally funded research program, teaching, and service; review of applications begins October 4, 2026 and continues until filled.
