Life Sciences Image Expert, AI Training (Handshake Project Lumière, Remote)

Handshake AI's Project Lumière (Life Sciences) pays scientists to write the hard questions AI models cannot yet answer about real scientific images. Each task pairs one image with a reasoning problem that only someone with domain expertise could solve, along with the worked answer. For this site's readers the fit is unusually direct: a cryo-EM micrograph, a tomogram slice, a set of 2D class averages or a density map is exactly the kind of image the project wants, and spotting what is wrong with ice thickness, preferred orientation or a mis-docked model is exactly the kind of question. The work is remote, part-time and paid per task. We have seen Project Lumière listed at $110 to $220 per task (October 2026); the rate shown to you may differ. Images must be copyright-clear and free of annotations, so use only images you have the right to share and never figures from published papers.
