Molecular Biology Expert, AI Training (Remote, Hourly Contract)

Mercor is recruiting molecular biology experts for AI training work with a leading AI lab: finding where a model's molecular biology reasoning breaks down, designing hard domain tasks and writing the solutions that become ground truth, reviewing model outputs, and writing the rubrics used to judge sequence design. The tasks cover PCR, qPCR and cloning primers, plasmids and expression vectors, gRNA and sgRNA for CRISPR editing, mRNA constructs and HDR repair templates. The listing asks for an advanced degree (PhD strongly preferred) in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, synthetic biology, bioengineering or a related field, hands-on experience designing nucleic acid constructs, and a peer-reviewed publication record. Mercor lists it as an hourly contract at $70 to $105 per hour, fully remote, for applicants in the United States who can commit at least 20 hours a week on weekdays.
