About This Position
The University of Birmingham School of Biosciences is recruiting a Research Fellow to join Prof. Teresa Carlomagno's lab, using single-particle cryo-EM to determine high-resolution structures relevant to RNA metabolism and gene expression regulation. The fellow will operate the lab's newly acquired FEI Glacios 3 cryo-electron microscope, prepare biomolecular samples, acquire and process structural data, and contribute to publications and funding applications. Requires a PhD (or near completion) in biophysics, biochemistry, or structural biology and hands-on single-particle cryo-EM experience from data collection through 3D reconstruction.
