About This Position
Genentech's Department of Protein Sciences seeks a Principal Scientist in Structural Biology to lead drug-discovery initiatives by uncovering the structural and dynamic mechanisms of therapeutic target proteins. The role directs structural biology strategy within multidisciplinary teams, oversees protein characterization via cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, and HDX, and applies molecular dynamics simulation and structural ensemble modeling to inform drug discovery. Requires a PhD in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, or a related field plus at least 3 years of post-doctoral experience; virtual docking and free energy perturbation expertise preferred.
