The University of Notre Dame's Bioengineering & Life Sciences Initiative established a cryo-EM facility in McCourtney Hall East housing a Thermo Fisher Glacios 2 cryo-TEM dedicated initially to single particle analysis, with a Vitrobot and a cryoSPARC Live workstation. Notre Dame researchers and approved external users pursuing SPA structural biology studies are eligible to use the Glacios 2, and a scientific director oversees operations, data acquisition and user training.
