MRL Cryo-EM Laboratory (Materials Research Laboratory Electron Microscopy Core)

BSL2-certified cryo-EM suite (rooms MRL0025-0027) within the Materials Research Laboratory's open-access electron microscopy core on the Urbana campus. It operates a 200 kV X-FEG Glacios with Volta phase plate, Falcon 4 direct electron detector and Autoloader running EPU, alongside a Vitrobot Mark IV and a Vitrobot Mark III, a glow discharge unit and an MFP-3D-Bio AFM. The wider MRL EM core also houses materials TEM/STEM, SEM and FIB/SEM instruments (Themis Z, Talos F200X, Helios 600i, Scios 2) that are not part of the cryo-EM lab.
