Feinberg School of Medicine core that opened in August 2025 in the sub-basement of the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center (303 E Superior St, SB-820, Chicago), led by Orhi Esarte Palomero. It operates a Glacios 2 cryo-TEM (X-FEG 200 kV, fringe-free imaging, AFIS, Selectris energy filter, Falcon 4i detector) for screening and data acquisition, with a Vitrobot Mark IV and Leica EM GP2 for plunge freezing and a processing workstation. Services are booked through NUcore as unassisted Glacios time, assisted Glacios 2 sessions, consultation and training.
