About This Position

Postdoctoral position in the Division of Molecular Embryology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), based primarily in Prof. Irmgard Sinning's laboratory at Heidelberg University in collaboration with Prof. Christof Niehrs. The project investigates how DDX3 RNA helicases regulate protein kinases in Wnt signalling. The postdoc will produce recombinant proteins, characterise complexes using biochemical and biophysical methods, and determine 3D structures of DDX3-CK1 complexes using cryo-EM single-particle analysis, X-ray crystallography and hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry. Applicants need a degree in molecular life sciences with expertise in recombinant protein production and/or structural biology, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with proficient English.
