The UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science is offering a permanent, full-time Lectureship/Assistant Professorship to contribute to our taught undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (MSc) programmes, with a primary focus in the area of Biochemistry (BSc). It is expected that the successful candidate will provide leadership and expertise in the implementation of research in protein biochemistry with a specific focus on structural biology applying experimental and/or computational approaches. The university is in the process of installing cryo-electron microscopy infrastructure (including a 200 kV cryo-TEM) within a purpose built imaging facility that will operate as a national unit for protein structure studies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research plan contributing to maximising the potential of this unit. Applications close 25 August 2026.
