For a doctoral degree, the equivalent of four years of full-time doctoral education is required.</p> <h3>The Research Group</h3> <p>We are looking for a doctoral student in the research group of Dr. Axel Abelein. The research group studies protein misfolding and amyloid structures related to neurodegenerative diseases, in particular Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The working space is located in Neo, KI Campus South in Flemingsberg, at the Department of Medicine Huddinge. The PhD project will be performed in close collaboration and co-supervised by Prof. Jan Johansson (KI) and Prof. Björn Wallner (Linköping University). The group is part of the laboratory of bioinspired protein drugs and technologies, hosting three groups with researchers at different career stages.
